Our Story

Katie, David, and Nhi

KD NAILS STUDIO was founded by Nhi in 2010. She wanted more for herself as a woman, a wife, and a mother…she opened her salon right in the heart of Chester, NH. A beautiful small town that she lived in with her husband and children. We always thank Mary Gessel for giving Nhi a chance to become an entrepreneur. Nhi and her staff made up of her sisters and children found great success at this location. There came a time where change was needed for the growth of the business. In 2018/2019 it was decided to take a leap and relocate. KD NAILS STUDIO made its new home in Raymond, NH where it has seen great success and expansion to this day. Over the course of the salon the constant always remained Nhi and her kids Katie and David. After one fun trip to Florida in 2021 Nhi and her husband Linh decided to relocate to Naples, FL. Her children have always been a big part of the salon. In 2023 her son David opened a new nail salon in Naples, FL called DAVID HOANG NAILS…where the mother and son duo have found great success as well. KD NAILS STUDIO in Nhi’s absence remained successful with Katie and David and Nhi’s longtime girlfriends Aunt Ngoc and Aunt Thuy.

In 2026 David as the then owner of KD NAILS STUDIO decided to sell the family salon. Their successor being Aunt Thuy! A woman who has been apart of the family’s life for decades, and had a hand in the salon’s success for over 5 years. Thuy is gentle by nature but an incredibly intelligent woman. She exudes the same morals and values Nhi and her family does, and it radiates throughout the salon easily. David and his family are very pleased that their salon and amazing clientele will be in good hands. Thuy is a wife, a mother, and overall a good hearted individual. Aunt Ngoc will also remain apart of her staff, as the two have not only worked alongside each other for many years, but have been longtime friends as well. Thuy’s husband Peter and daughters Jennie and Julia fully support her new endeavor. David and his family are so proud of how far Thuy has come and have full confidence in her new chapter as owner. David will remain a resource and help Aunt Thuy along the way. His family may have departed as owners, but they will always remain family with Aunt Thuy, Aunt Ngoc, and the amazing community of KD NAILS STUDIO.
